Every factual claim about an operator must be traceable to that operator’s published terms or to the Gambling Commission’s register. Anything we cannot verify is printed as “Not stated by operator” rather than estimated, and it counts against the operator’s score. Commercial relationships never change a score.

Verification

Two sources count as primary here: the Gambling Commission’s public register, and an operator’s own published terms and conditions. A promotional banner is not a source, and neither is another affiliate site.

What we do when we cannot verify something

We print “Not stated by operator” and score the gap as a transparency negative. We do not estimate, do not carry a figure across from a competitor’s site, and do not leave a cell blank in a way that could read as “no fee” or “no cap”.

This rule is absolute because the failure mode is specific: a wrong wagering multiplier in a comparison table is how a reader ends up with a balance they cannot withdraw.

What we will not publish

Commercial relationships

Scores are set from the rubric before commercial terms are discussed. An operator who improves an offer after seeing a draft receives the same score. If continued listing is made conditional on a better score, we decline and say so on the review. Paid placements are labelled on the listing itself, not only in a policy page. Full detail is in the affiliate disclosure.

Responsible gambling obligations

Every page carries the age restriction and the National Gambling Helpline. Every bonus mention carries the terms strip and the reminder that terms apply. No page frames gambling as a solution to money problems. Where a topic touches on harm, we signpost to free support rather than treating it as a footnote.

Updates and accuracy over time

Bonus terms change frequently, so every review is a snapshot and shows the date its terms were last checked. Listed operators are re-checked on a rolling basis, and a changed term is treated as an update to the review rather than a silent edit.

Corrections

If you find a figure on this site that does not match an operator’s live terms, tell us. We correct it and log the correction publicly at corrections, including what was wrong and when it was fixed. See contact for how to reach us.

Use of AI

Editorial judgement, scoring and criticism are human decisions. Where automated tools assist with drafting or checking, the output is verified against primary sources before publication under the same rules as anything else on this site — and no tool is permitted to originate a factual figure about an operator.
